A hollow extruder collection is a fully automated production method used to make hollow plastic profiles through an extrusion process. Plastic and natural materials are melted and next extruded through a specially designed die to form continuous hollow cross-sectional items, which are commonly used in areas such as construction, watering, business piping, and equipment.
Based on the differences in raw materials and merchandise buildings, lifeless extrusion lines may be classified into PVC pipe manufacturing lines, PE water supply and drain tube production lines, PPR hot water pipe production lines, window and door report output lines, etc. Taking a PVC pipe production line as an example, they can be further divided into single-screw standard pipe production lines, twin-screw high-speed pipe production lines, and multi-layer co-extrusion pipe production lines, among others.
The extruder is the core of the production line, responsible for heating, plasticizing, and extruding plastic raw materials. Hollow extrusion often utilizes conical twin-screw or parallel twin-screw extruders to meet the processing requirements of heat-sensitive materials such as PVC.
Hollow extrusion dies are typically of spiral, spider, or basket-type structures, used to form the inner and outer wall structures of pipes or profiles. The die design directly affects the wall thickness uniformity and mechanical properties of the product.
The vacuum calibration tank is used to cool and dimensionally set the extruded high-temperature pipes or profiles. Through vacuum adsorption,
the outer wall of the product adheres to the calibration mold, ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface smoothness.
The cooling tank further reduces the temperature of the product, allowing it to fully solidify and prevent deformation. It typically employs a multi-stage circulating water cooling system.
The puller provides stable traction through tracks or clamping rollers, controls the production speed, and ensures the straight-line movement and dimensional stability of the product.
The cutter automatically cuts the continuously extruded products to the preset length. Common types include planetary cutters and saw cutters.
Used to receive cut products and automatically stack or transfer them for subsequent packaging and storage.
Plastic pellets are fed into the extruder via a feeder, where they are melted and plasticized under the combined action of screw rotation and heating. The molten material is then forced through a die to form a continuous hollow parison. After undergoing vacuum calibration and cooling solidification, the product is pulled at a consistent speed by the puller. Finally, it is cut to the specified length by a cutter and automatically collected.
Hollow extrusion lines are widely used in fields such as building water supply and drainage, agricultural irrigation, electrical conduits, window and door profiles, furniture edging, industrial piping, and ventilation ducts, producing various pipes and profiles made of materials such as PVC, PE, and PP.
