1. ABS has a high surface quality, good toughness, high impact strength, outstanding heat resistance, and ease of molding and secondary processing. Among its many applications are machinery, electronics, electrical appliances, sanitary ware, packaging, medical equipment, motor housings for recreational vehicles and boats, outdoor electrical enclosures, tourist and resort facilities, toys, instrumentation, everyday furniture, dinnerware, car interiors, and door panels.

Brief introduction to plate extrusion line:

ABS plate manufacturing can be divided into upstream and downstream procedures. Melting, casting, hot rolling, and cold rolling are steps in the upstream process that are comparable to those of other high-precision plates and strip materials. However, the downstream process consists of precision cutting, cross-cutting, longitudinal cutting, lubricating coating application, heat treatment, surface treatment, stretch bending leveling, and further processing. Compared to other high-precision plates and strip materials, the downstream process for ABS plates is substantially more complicated and requires a greater number of steps. It can be summed up as coil opening. The process of heat treatment involves annealing, followed by water or air quenching, or use an air-cushion furnace with fuel, electric, or electromagnetic induction heating to treat solutions at 500–600°C. The process of surface treatment, which includes cleaning and conversion Leveling, bending, and stretching The application of lubricating coatings coiling, etc. The major processes are heat treatment, conversion treatment, and lubricating coating application; the throughput of these processes determines the ABS plates and strips’ production capacity. The heat treatment procedure should be able to create T4P (pre-aged) coils, a special state for creating heat-treatable reinforced ABS plates and strips, in addition to solution treatment and annealing capabilities. Through a chemical oxidation process in a fluorozirconate and titanate mixed solution, conversion treatment creates a passivating layer on the aluminum surface. This film’s fundamental chemical makeup consists of titanium, zirconium, aluminum, fluorine, and oxygen. The density of the film is 2.8 g/cm³, and its mass is 1~4 mg/dm². It appears colorless or faintly blue and is much thicker than natural oxide films but thinner than anodic oxide films. This film successfully prevents corrosion on ABS plates and strips over its six-month shelf life by acting as a great substrate for lubricating absorption and demonstrating good corrosion resistance. Applying the lubricant via spraying or roller coating, followed by drying or curing treatment, can be done dry or wet. The lubricant film facilitates the forming process by offering ideal lubrication conditions for sheet metal stamping. ABS plate and strip downstream processing can be split up into two or three separate production lines, or it can be arranged into a fully continuous production line. The centerline can be constructed as an elevated, double-deck arrangement or it can be positioned in a single plane.

Performance of the product:

  1. high mechanical strength, high stiffness, low water absorption, good corrosion resistance, easy connection, non-toxic and odorless, with outstanding chemical and electrical insulation qualities;
  2. excellent impact strength, good dimensional stability, good dyeability, molding, and CNC properties;

  1. It has great impact toughness at low temperatures and can tolerate heat without deforming;
  2. It is a strong, scratch-, and deformation-resistant material;
  3. It has great dimensional stability and less water absorption;
  4. Although conventional ABS sheets are not very white, they are quite durable and can be stamped with a mold or cut with a shearing machine.

Applications:

Because of their outstanding performance and processability, ABS plates are used extensively in many different industries, such as toys, electronics, home appliances, automobiles, and construction. ABS plates are widely used in the auto industry for underbody shields and interior decorations; in the electronics industry for shells for products like computers and cell phones; in the toy industry for the production of toys; in the construction industry for building templates, outdoor decorations, and indoor partitions; and in the home appliance industry for the production of internal parts and shells for products like televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines. ABS plates can also be utilized in medical devices, equipment, and other industries.
