PE Thick Plate Extrusion Line
The PE thick plate extrusion line is a specialized, high-efficiency production system engineered for manufacturing thick-gauge polyethylene (PE) plates and sheets. Targeting plate thicknesses ranging from 5mm to 150mm and widths from 500mm to 3000mm, this line integrates core modules including a high-torque single/double screw extruder, a precision T-die or coat-hanger die, a multi-roll calibration unit, a traction system, and an automatic cutting and stacking station. The working principle follows a continuous, automated workflow: PE raw materials (including HDPE, LDPE, and LLDPE, or recycled PE granules) are melted, plasticized, and homogenized in the extruder at temperatures between 160°C and 220°C. The molten PE melt is then extruded through the die to form a preliminary plate shape, which is immediately cooled and shaped in the calibration unit to ensure flatness and dimensional accuracy. Finally, the finished plate is tractioned, cut to fixed lengths, and stacked for storage or shipment. The line supports both single-layer and multi-layer co-extrusion processes, enabling the production of functional PE plates with enhanced performance.
